Transport your guests to the Amalfi Coast with a sun-drenched, lemon-inspired Haldi ceremony that feels like a Mediterranean escape.

A perfect summer tablescape overlooking the water. The table features a blue and white tiled runner, a centerpiece of yellow roses and fresh lemons, and yellow glassware, perfectly capturing the Positano vibe.

The bride's seating area featured a stunning backdrop made entirely of fresh lemons, creating a fragrant and visually impactful photo wall. The peacock-style cane chair adds a touch of bohemian chic.

A bright yellow scooter, its basket overflowing with yellow flowers, parked in front of a lemon-tree wall. This playful prop served as a charming photo opportunity for guests.

A casual and chic seating arrangement with wooden benches, bright yellow and blue cushions, and a centerpiece of lemons and roses. The patterned rug adds another layer of Mediterranean-inspired design.

Low seating on wooden pallets with comfortable blue and yellow cushions, surrounded by piles of fresh lemons and marigolds. This created a relaxed and immersive atmosphere for the Haldi ceremony.

An arrangement of yellow roses in blue and white ceramic vases, scattered with fresh lemons. This simple yet beautiful detail perfectly encapsulates the theme.

A miniature boat filled with lemons and marigolds, adorned with tiny tiles depicting scenes from Positano. This creative detail shows a deep commitment to the theme.

About this collection

I do not just use props; I use the theme itself. For this Positano set, we incorporated fresh lemons and limes directly into the tablescapes and backdrops. Not only does this bring that authentic Mediterranean fragrance to your event, but it also means we reduce reliance on single-use plastics or excessive florals, keeping the aesthetic fresh and the footprint light.

Bringing the Amalfi Coast to Your Haldi

When I designed this Italian-themed Haldi, the goal was to capture the essence of a summer afternoon on the Amalfi coast. It is about more than just a yellow color palette; it is about texture, scent, and atmosphere.

Design Elements

  • Fresh Produce Styling: We replaced traditional floral walls with high-density displays of fresh lemons and limes. This creates a tactile, fragrant backdrop that looks incredible in photos and feels much more organic than artificial alternatives.
  • Mediterranean Accents: The blue and white ceramic tile motifs are a staple of this aesthetic. I combined these with natural cane furniture and wooden benches to ground the vibrant yellows, preventing the setup from feeling chaotic.
  • Sensory Details: From the lemon-infused centerpieces to the custom stationery featuring watercolor tiles, every element is chosen to immerse your guests in the story of the event.

Why This Works for Haldi

Haldi is traditionally a joyous, messy ritual. By leaning into an Italian summer theme, we embrace that energy with bright, high-contrast colors like marigold yellow, cobalt blue, and crisp white. It feels celebratory, sophisticated, and entirely distinct from standard, repetitive decor styles. Whether you are hosting in a Mumbai lawn or an intimate home terrace, this concept works because it prioritizes a 'living' setup over static, heavy structures.

I am Pooja Doshi. When a couple tells me they want something different for their Haldi, I immediately think of the sensory experience—the scent of citrus and the warmth of the sun. This Italian-themed setup was designed to feel less like a stage and more like a stolen afternoon on the Amalfi coast.
