A proud moment seeing my project Anagha featured on the cover of The Architect's Diary. This project was deeply inspired by Korean minimalism, focusing on clean lines, a neutral palette, and sophisticated lighting to create a serene home.
About As Seen In: Project Features
Publications like Design Essentia and The Architect’s Diary chose these homes because we tackled real, structural issues—like expanding utility areas and managing natural light—rather than just applying surface decor. This is my design standard for every project: if the layout does not support your daily rhythm, even the best aesthetic will not make it a home.
When a magazine features a home, the focus is often on the final look. But for me, the real story is how we got there.
Take Project Anagha, which was featured in The Architect's Diary. The client returned from living in Korea with a clear vision: they wanted a home rooted in minimalism and calm. We didn't just pick colors; we completely re-evaluated the flow of the space to emphasize natural light and clean lines, ensuring that every corner felt intentional.
Similarly, Project Lakshya, featured in Design Essentia, shows how we blend California casual elegance with functionality. The challenge here was structural—we had to modify the utility entrance and merge a toilet with a bedroom to gain space. We prioritized soft textures and a neutral palette, but the real work happened behind the scenes in the planning phase.
My process for every home follows this exact logic:
- Understand the Daily Life: Before I touch a pencil, I need to know how you live. Do you need more storage in the kitchen? Is the bedroom a sanctuary for sleep or a place to work?
- Address Structural Hurdles: I look for the 'ugly' bits—the ducts, the awkward corners, the dark spots. We solve these first so the final design is never compromised.
- Transparency: You see the 3D renders and the mood boards before we break ground. There are no surprises.
Whether you are looking for a full home renovation or just want to transform a tricky corner into a functional study nook, my focus remains the same: creating spaces that work as hard as you do, while feeling warm and welcoming.
