About this collection

When you walk into our Nido environment in Cooke Town, leave your shoes at the door and settle onto the floor with us. This is not a lecture hall where you frantically take notes. It is a space to breathe, share the messy reality of early parenting, and observe the Montessori approach firsthand. We keep our sessions intimate so we can address your real, day-to-day questions about weaning, sleep, or home setup, rather than reading from a rigid script.

Parenting in those first three years often feels like navigating a fog. You are juggling sleep deprivation, the chaos of weaning, and the sheer wonder of seeing your baby interact with the world. At The Earth School, our Nurturing Nest series is our way of clearing that fog, not with top-down advice, but with the perspective of the Montessori method.

Whether you join us for the full five-part series or drop in for a single topic, our approach is deeply human. We break down the developmental arc—from the significance of the first eight weeks to the complex social and emotional milestones of the toddler years.

What we cover in our sessions:

  • Home Environment: How to organize your space so your child feels capable and independent rather than dependent on constant intervention.
  • Limits and Freedom: How to set boundaries that actually work, protecting your child’s self-esteem while maintaining order.
  • Emotional Development: Learning to distinguish between a child’s need for connection and a testing of boundaries.

Our AMI-trained guides, Hindola and Rama, bring years of observing children to these conversations. They understand that a home is a child’s first school. By the time you leave our Nido space, you will not just have a list of tips. You will have a new way of seeing your child. You will start to recognize that what often looks like 'misbehavior' is simply a plea for understanding, and that by thoughtfully preparing your home, you are actively preparing your child for life.
