A perfect drape isn't just luck, it's meticulous preparation. I focus on crisp pleats and gentle fabric care, ensuring every fold stays flawless from the first photo to the final shot.

The process starts here. This is a look at my bridal saree prepping, where I carefully iron and set the pleats beforehand to ensure a quick and perfect drape on the wedding day.

A demonstration of my chest pleating technique. I am ironing the pleats into a beautiful blue silk saree to create sharp, defined lines for the pallu.

A glimpse of me at work, adjusting the shoulder pleats on a silver tissue saree. The key is to make sure the pallu sits perfectly and securely.

Draping is my passion and perfection is my style. This video shows the process of creating a neat waistline and pleats on a beautiful black and silver Banarasi saree.

Demonstrating a single pleat draping style. This modern and chic technique is great for softer fabrics and creates a very elegant, flowing look.

On set adjustments are crucial for a perfect shot. Here, I am ensuring the pleats and fall of this heavy bridal saree are just right for the camera.

A montage from The Glam Up Studio's airbrush masterclass, where I was the official saree drapist. It was a fantastic event filled with creativity and collaboration.

A special event where I was honored to be on stage. This video captures the feeling of community and the joy of being recognized for my craft.

About Behind the Scenes: The Art of Draping

I prioritize the health of your saree above all else. For delicate silks or heavy Kanchipuram weaves, I use a specific no-heat pleating technique. This means no scorching, no risk to the zari, and perfectly sharp pleats that maintain their structure throughout your long wedding or studio session.
