On a film set or a brand shoot, a saree is more than just fabric. It is a vital part of the story. I spend time aligning with your creative team to understand the mood board, whether it is a wind-blown editorial shot or a structured traditional look. My on-set support includes continuous monitoring to ensure pleats remain immaculate against studio fans and during movement, so your focus stays entirely on the camera.
Behind the Camera: My On-Set Approach
When I work with actors, influencers, or models, the requirements are precise. The saree cannot just look good; it has to withstand hours of intense lighting, movement, and studio equipment. My goal is to eliminate the stress of wardrobe management so you can concentrate on your performance.
Technical Precision for the Lens
- Fabric Safety: I use specialized no-heat pleating techniques for high-value garments like Sabyasachi lehengas or delicate nets. You never have to worry about damage to loaned designer pieces.
- Studio Readiness: I use rust-free pins and specific fashion tapes to secure the pallu. This ensures that even if you are shooting against strong studio fans, the drape stays firmly in place.
- Continuous Support: For complex shoots, I provide on-set standby support. This includes making micro-adjustments to pleat fall and pallu angles between takes, ensuring consistency across every frame.
Collaborative Styling I believe the best results come from teamwork. I love collaborating with makeup artists and stylists to make sure the drape complements the jewelry and the overall makeup look. Whether it is a classic Nivi drape or a complex fusion style like a dhoti-saree, I work to make sure the final look is as impactful in real life as it is on screen.
