Interactive Bhangra Workshops and Cultural Sessions
Whether you want to learn the history of Bhangra or just get moving, my workshops are about building community and celebrating our roots together.
This poster for the Brrrrhangra Dance Party at Lincoln Center is a perfect example of my interactive workshops. Partnering with Ajna Dance, we created a free, welcoming space for people of all ages to learn Bhangra steps and celebrate together.
A shot of me DJing at SummerStage in Central Park. Whether it's a massive outdoor festival or an intimate workshop, my focus is on reading the crowd and creating a shared experience through music.
A candid moment from a Bollywood Disco party. These events are more than just a DJ set; they are interactive celebrations where people can connect with the music and each other in a joyful, chosen-family atmosphere.

About Workshops & Interactive Sessions
For these sessions, I bring the vibe directly to you. I travel with my own controller, so all I need from your venue is a decent sound system to play the tracks. Whether we are doing a two-hour deep dive into the history of filmi music or a high-energy movement class, I keep things hands-on and interactive.
I believe workshops should be more than just a lecture. My sessions are designed to break down the barriers between the stage and the audience, creating a space where we can learn and move together.
Whether you are looking for a high-energy Bhangra dance lesson or a deep listening session analyzing the history of South Asian sounds, I tailor the experience to your group. I walk participants through the evolution of these tracks and how they connect to the streets and clubs of NYC.
I offer two main tracks for these sessions:
- Movement: We focus on Basement Bhangra style dance steps combined with the history of the movements. These are great for groups of 20 to 200 people.
- Listening: A deep dive into samples, track production, and the fusion of genres. This is a chance to sit down, listen, and analyze the music that shaped a generation.
If you are hosting a university seminar, a corporate event, or a community gathering, I bring my own professional DJ controller. You just need to provide the sound output. We start with a prep call to align on your group demographics, so the content hits home.
