About Event Announcements
When you see an announcement for my events, notice the workshop-plus-social format. I always recommend arriving for the workshop first, because that is where you build the rapport with your partners that makes the social dancing later in the night feel much smoother and more fun.
I split my calendar between intimate local socials and larger dance festivals. My aim is to create a space that feels like a party, not a formal class. Whether it is a Tuesday night at a local bar in Indiranagar or a weekend festival set in Mumbai, the core remains the same: Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba mixed with my signature Bollykiz tracks.
If you are new to the scene, come for the workshop portion. It is designed to be a low-pressure icebreaker where we rotate partners, so you meet people before the DJ set kicks off. For seasoned dancers, look for my event posts detailing the music ratios. I try to keep it balanced, usually an even split of SBKZ (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk), with the tempo picking up as the night goes on.
