About Behind the Decks
Whether I am playing a small private party or a massive Holi festival, the goal is the same: keeping the floor alive. It comes down to how I use my Pioneer gear to read the room, ensuring that every transition from a commercial track to a deep house drop feels natural and keeps the energy high.
I believe music is all about truth. When I am behind the decks, it is not just about queuing up a playlist. It is about understanding the vibe of the room and reacting to it in real time. My journey from the desk life to the deck life taught me that people can smell fake energy. That is why I focus on authentic mixing.
I rely on my Pioneer DDJ setup to handle everything from Bollywood and Punjabi hits to Trance and Kannada tracks. For me, the equipment is just an extension of my hands. I spent years mastering the craft of beat-matching and harmonic mixing so that when I am at a high-end Marriott event or an outdoor bash, I do not have to think about the tech. I can focus entirely on the dancers.
