Hand-Painted Custom Portraits and Art
Every stroke has a story. Whether it is charcoal, oil, or acrylic, I capture real moments with a personal touch.
This happy golden retriever was drawn with soft pastels on black paper, which really makes the colors pop. I can create a lasting tribute to your beloved pet.
This is an oil painting I did from a reference photo. Working with oils allows me to build up rich colors and create a very realistic, life-like portrait.
A monochrome portrait of a lion I drew using charcoal. I added a pop of color to the eyes to create a focal point and make the piece more striking.
I really enjoy drawing portraits that tell a story. For this piece, I used colored pencils to capture the texture of the skin and the wisdom in his eyes.
About Hand-Painted Portraits & Art
When you commission an oil or acrylic piece, keep in mind that the paint needs time to dry properly before it can be safely packed and shipped. I usually need about 2 to 4 weeks to finish a canvas to ensure the layers are stable and ready to hang on your wall.
For me, art is about the feel of the medium. If you want something soft and moody, I lean towards charcoal or graphite on acid-free paper. If you are looking for something that makes a statement, my oil and acrylic paintings on stretched canvas are the way to go.
Every piece starts with a reference photo you share, and I work to capture more than just the image. I want to get the emotion right. For the traditional physical pieces, I seal everything with a fixative spray or varnish to keep the colors fresh and protected from dust and light.
Whether it is a portrait of a loved one or a hyperrealistic animal study, I put in the same focus to make sure it feels real. I keep you updated during the process, sharing the sketch and base layers so you can see your piece take shape. It is honest work, straight from my studio to your home.
