About My Creative Process
My creative process is as much about the mistakes as it is about the final result. I don't hide the messy sketches or the initial color blocks because that is where the real magic happens. When you order a commission, I often share these stage-by-stage updates with you, so you are part of the journey from that first rough line to the final detail.
I truly believe art is my peace. Like the song goes, 'Hor kise naal bann di ni meri, Tere naal rehna chaunda dil mera'—my heart just wants to be with art. That philosophy drives how I work, whether I am picking up a digital stylus or a paintbrush.
How I Work
- Digital Portraits: I primarily use Procreate and Illustrator to craft your pieces. I start by mapping out the basic structure and shapes, then move to layering and shading until the final output is crisp and high-resolution. I provide these in 300 DPI, perfect for printing or social media.
- Traditional Art: When it comes to charcoal, graphite, or oil, the process changes. For physical canvases, I work on primed cotton or high-quality paper. If you order an oil or acrylic painting, please keep in mind that I need 2-4 weeks to allow for proper drying and layering. This patience is necessary for a high-quality finish that will last for years.
- Transparency: I share behind-the-scenes videos because I want you to feel connected to your artwork. Seeing the transition from a simple circle sketch to a fully shaded character is how I build trust. You get to approve the work during the intermediate stages, ensuring we are on the same page before I finalize the details.
