When you see an online deal for a ₹5,000 sofa, remember it is often a trap using low-density foam that will sag in two months. In my Goregaon workshop, I prioritize 40-density HR foam and 16-gauge steel, and I show you these materials before we build so you know exactly what your investment is buying.
The furniture market is full of 'fake' offers designed to lure you in with a low price, but you end up paying more when the furniture falls apart within a year. My philosophy is simple: quality is not a luxury, it is a necessity.
Why Custom Beats Ready-Made
When you buy ready-made furniture online, you are often getting a standard product that was built for speed, not longevity. In my Mumbai workshop, we focus on custom furniture that fits your space and your lifestyle. Whether it is restaurant seating, office workstations, or a home wardrobe, you can see every step of the process. We use solid Beechwood, Teak, and reinforced metal frames that are built to handle daily wear and tear.
The Reality of Materials
Many people ignore the technical specs until it is too late. Ask about:
- Foam Density: Always check for High Resilience (HR) foam. 32 to 40 density ensures your sofa stays firm.
- Steel Gauge: For commercial spaces, 16 or 18 gauge steel is standard for load-bearing. Anything thinner will bend.
- Joinery: We avoid just screwing pieces together. We use MIG welding and heavy-duty joints for a finish that does not wobble.
