Traditional Gruhapravesam Decor & Pooja Backdrops
Bringing a touch of warmth and fresh floral elegance to your new home. From vibrant entrance arches to serene, custom-designed pooja backdrops, I craft welcoming spaces for your Gruhapravesam ceremony.
For this housewarming, I created a custom Pichwai-inspired backdrop. The design features traditional cow motifs and a central Ganesha, framed by fresh banana leaves and marigold garlands to create a truly blessed and artistic entrance.
A warm welcome begins at the door. This dense floral arch for a gruhapravesam ceremony uses a vibrant mix of roses, chrysanthemums, and fresh greens to create an inviting and celebratory entrance for guests.
Here is a purely traditional backdrop I created using a base of fresh banana leaves. The vibrant contrast of yellow and red marigold garlands, along with a central Ganesha motif and hanging bells, makes it perfect for an auspicious pooja.
To continue the festive theme inside the home, I designed this beautiful floral arch for an internal doorway. The bright yellow and white chrysanthemums add a cheerful and welcoming feel to the space.
This is another example of a main door decoration for a housewarming. I used a rich combination of red, yellow, and pink flowers with plenty of green foliage for a lush and abundant look.
For a more modern take on entrance decor, I created this asymmetrical floral arrangement. It features a mix of colorful roses and chrysanthemums, creating a dynamic and stylish welcome.
This door decoration emphasizes lush greenery with pops of vibrant red gerberas and other colorful blooms. The design gives a very fresh, garden-like feel to the home's entrance.
About Welcoming New Beginnings: Gruhapravesam Decor
My setups are designed specifically for modern apartments. I use a zero-damage installation method involving zip-ties and non-marking tape, so you never have to worry about drilling holes or damaging walls. Whether it is an entrance arch or a living room backdrop, everything is secured safely and professionally.
When you are hosting a Gruhapravesam, the decor should feel auspicious and welcoming. My approach is to mix tradition with clean, elegant styling.
The Setup Process
For main doors, I offer L-shaped floral arches (up to 12 feet) that frame your entrance perfectly. I use a mix of fresh chrysanthemums, roses, and gerberas set in hydrated Oasis foam blocks. This ensures the flowers stay fresh and vibrant for 24 to 36 hours, meaning your decor will look just as good for the evening pooja as it did in the morning.
Backdrops and Design
Your pooja backdrop is the heart of the ceremony. I offer 8x8 ft freestanding structures that require zero wall support. You can choose from:
- Traditional: Fresh marigold strings, banana leaf panels, and hanging bells.
- Artistic: Pichwai-inspired printed canvases with Ganesha motifs.
- Soft & Elegant: Satin drapes paired with floral accents.
Logistics
I handle everything from delivery to setup and next-day dismantling. For my 10-foot setups that include wooden jhulas, a 3-person team manages the installation to ensure the swing is safely assembled and perfectly positioned for your ceremony. My pricing ranges from 4,000 INR for standard door arches to 15,000 INR for complete, detailed festival setups, so there is an option for both simple and grand celebrations. I focus on doing decor my way, which really means doing it your way.
