For this housewarming, I created a custom Pichwai-inspired backdrop. The design features traditional cow motifs and a central Ganesha, framed by fresh banana leaves and marigold garlands to create a truly blessed and artistic entrance.
I designed this serene pooja corner for a client's home. The setup features a backdrop of delicate white rajnigandha strings, complemented by a lush arrangement of cream roses and deep purple flowers on a rustic wooden cabinet.
A warm welcome begins at the door. This dense floral arch for a gruhapravesam ceremony uses a vibrant mix of roses, chrysanthemums, and fresh greens to create an inviting and celebratory entrance for guests.
To bring a festive and colorful Rajasthani vibe to an event, I created this unique photo corner. An arch of vibrant, embroidered umbrellas provides a joyful and memorable backdrop for any celebration.
This backdrop combines soft blush pink and rich brown fabrics in an intricate braided pattern. I topped it with a line of fresh red and cream roses, creating a look of sophisticated elegance perfect for formal ceremonies.
Here is a purely traditional backdrop I created using a base of fresh banana leaves. The vibrant contrast of yellow and red marigold garlands, along with a central Ganesha motif and hanging bells, makes it perfect for an auspicious pooja.
A decorated jhula, or swing, adds a playful and traditional element to festivals like Teej. I adorned this swing with bright yellow marigold garlands and colorful Rajasthani umbrellas for a fun and festive touch.

What I Do

I’m Shilpa, and I love making your traditional ceremonies feel special at home. My thing is to create a vibe that matches your family’s style, whether you want something grand or just simple and peaceful. I mostly work on pooja setups, housewarming (gruhapravesam) decorations, and festival themes like Teej and Chhathi.

My Style

I mix tradition with a bit of elegance. If you want a marigold flower decoration for pooja or a backdrop with banana leaves and Pichwai prints, I’m all for it. Sometimes, people want a lot of colour, sometimes just soft pastels - I can do both.

Backdrops & Details

  • Backdrops are my favourite part. I use fresh genda (marigold) and rajnigandha strings, fabric draping, or even printed art for that traditional Indian backdrop ideas feel.
  • For gruhapravesam entrance decor, I do dense floral arrangements at the main door, usually with roses, chrysanthemums, and greens.
  • I add fun props like Rajasthani umbrellas or a decorated jhula (swing) for festivals.
  • Fairy lights are a must for that warm, glowy look.
