When you pick a theme, I make sure the setup actually matches the vision, not just a generic version of it. I use sturdy 8 to 10ft backdrops and high-quality Sunboard character cutouts to create an immersive look. I arrive well in advance to install the balloons and props, ensuring the cake plinths and marquee lights are perfectly placed before your guests arrive, so you don't have to stress about the final look.
Kids' birthday parties are all about that 'wow' moment when they walk into the room. Whether you have a specific character in mind—like Elsa, Minions, or a jungle safari theme—I create a custom setup that transforms your space.
What goes into your setup
For themed parties, I typically use an 8 to 10ft wide structural backdrop. This is the main canvas. I add 3 to 4 character cutouts (2ft to 4ft tall) which are made from Sunboard for a clean, professional finish. To add that pop of color, I include an organic balloon arch, often using 400+ balloons in varied sizes to get that cloud-like effect.
Handling the details
- Display: I provide a set of 3 cylindrical cake plinths that match your theme colors, so your cake table looks cohesive.
- Lighting: I bring LED par lights to highlight the backdrop, which makes a huge difference in the photos you'll be taking all day.
- Flooring: For many themes, I add a faux fur rug or artificial grass patch at the base to ground the setup.
Everything is rental-based, so you get the premium look without having to buy props you won't use again. Just tell me the theme, and I'll handle the rest—from the initial installation to ensuring the balloons look full and vibrant.
