Decor for Haldi, Roka, and Family Functions
Whether it is a vibrant Haldi or an intimate Roka ceremony, I help bring your vision to life without breaking the bank. Let’s make your special day look dreamy and feel just right.
This video shows a vibrant backdrop I designed for a Haldi ceremony. The bright yellow curtain is decorated with hanging floral arrangements and traditional Indian decor pieces, creating a festive and colorful setting for the event.
This elegant floral arch, decorated with drapes and fairy lights, was designed for a Roka ceremony. It serves as a beautiful backdrop for photos and can be adapted for any intimate celebration, including a housewarming party.
About Decor for Other Celebrations
For these ceremonies, I focus on the high-impact areas like your backdrop, entrance, and seating. If you are working with limited space in a Mumbai apartment, I highly recommend a 6x6ft floral backdrop that centers the attention on the moment without cluttering the room. It is a setup I frequently do for Roka ceremonies to ensure your photos look clean and professional.
Every family function has a unique energy, and my job is to translate that into a visual setup. For Haldi ceremonies, I lean into bright, traditional marigold drapes paired with hanging floral elements because they provide that perfect pop of yellow against your outfit. It is all about capturing that festive, sunny vibe while keeping the setup lightweight so it does not overwhelm the space.
For Roka ceremonies or intimate engagement parties, I prefer a more elegant approach. Think soft, pastel drapes, fairy lights, and perhaps a personalized welcome board on an easel to greet your guests. I take care of the entire process from sourcing fresh rajnigandha or roses on the morning of the event to handling the teardown afterward. You do not have to worry about the logistics of the backdrop stand or the lighting.
Because I work across Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, and as far as Lonavala and Karjat, I am used to different venue constraints. Whether you are hosting in a society clubhouse or your own living room, we will find a way to make it work. Send me your Pinterest boards or just describe the mood you want, and I will figure out the most budget-friendly way to pull it off. I love mixing materials—balloons, fresh flowers, and drapes—to create something that feels like you, not just another cookie-cutter decoration.
