About Entrances, Aisles & Welcome Details
When you approach a venue, the entrance dictates the energy of the entire event. I focus on how the scale of your archway interacts with the venue’s architecture, ensuring that whether it is a massive floral tunnel or a minimal, modern sign, the layout directs your guests exactly where you want them to go.
Your entrance is the transition point where guests leave the outside world and step into your celebration. I categorize my approach into two distinct styles based on the venue:
Architectural & Structural Entrances
For larger banquets and outdoor grounds, I build custom structures. This includes heavy-duty floral tunnels that offer a sense of grandeur and framed archways that use lighting to guide the flow of foot traffic. For these, I prioritize durable, high-impact materials that can withstand outdoor settings or fill large banquet spaces effectively.
Intimate & Personalized Welcome Details
If you are hosting a smaller event or a home-based function, the focus shifts to personal touches. I use brass elements, fresh marigolds, and custom signage on easels to create a welcoming nook rather than an overwhelming structure. These details are designed to be photogenic while maintaining a human scale, ensuring they do not clutter smaller terraces or living rooms.
Planning Your Layout
When we discuss your specific venue—whether it is a hotel in Bangalore or a villa in Goa—I look at the light and the existing architecture. For instance, a mirrored aisle works best in spaces with high ceilings or open-air tents where the sky reflection adds depth. If we are working with a tighter budget or space, I recommend focal-point entrance signs surrounded by dense floral arrangements to create a visual statement without needing extensive structural assembly.
