Holding a perfect wave on Indian hair can be tricky, especially in our humidity. I rely on a combination of base crimping for volume and professional-grade texturizing sprays to ensure your style doesn't drop by the time you hit the dance floor. If you are looking for that extra length or drama, I can seamlessly blend in your clip-in extensions during the styling process.
My Approach to Open Hair
I treat every open hair style as a structural challenge. The goal is to make it look effortless, but the foundation needs to be solid.
Hollywood Waves vs. Soft Curls
- Hollywood Waves: This is all about precision. I use a deep side part and structured, uniform curls to create that vintage, high-glam look. It works best for evening receptions and cocktail parties where you want a polished aesthetic.
- Soft Romantic Curls: If you prefer something more natural, we go for looser, voluminous waves. I pull the hair back slightly or do a half-up style to keep it away from your face, which is perfect for Sangeet or Mehendi functions where you are moving around a lot.
The Technical Side
When we do your trial or on-the-day prep, we focus on three things:
- Foundation: I crimp the roots to build a grip that holds the style.
- Heat Styling: I use professional tongs and wavers to shape the hair, setting it so it stays flexible but firm.
