I use dry-cutting techniques for children because it is the only way to see exactly where their curl pattern sits. Wet hair stretches, which often leads to cutting too much off, leaving you with uneven, frizzy layers once it dries. By cutting on dry, natural hair, I shape the curls to sit perfectly, reducing bulk and making sure they don't look like a jhadu (broom) as they grow out.
