When you go for a short style with curly hair, the cutting technique changes everything. I use a dry cutting method because curls behave differently when wet. They shrink and spring back unpredictably. By cutting your hair dry, I can see exactly how each curl falls, ensuring your new bob, pixie, or layered chop keeps its shape and volume at home, not just in my studio.
Taking the leap for a short haircut is daunting when you have curly hair. Too often, people end up with a pyramid shape because the hair was cut while wet and stretched. In my studio in Chembur, we skip the guesswork.
The Big Chop is my signature. It is for those who have spent years using heat or chemical treatments and are ready to grow out their natural, healthy hair. We will assess your curl pattern, whether it is Type 2 waves or Type 4 coils, and determine exactly where to cut to remove the damage while keeping the volume you want.
If you are not ready for a full chop, we can start with a chin length bob or layers to take the weight off your shoulders. My goal is to make sure you leave the salon knowing how to handle your hair. During your session, I walk you through the product routine. We cover how much gel to use, how to diffuse, and how to refresh your hair the next day. You will not just walk out with a new look; you will have the tools to maintain it. Whether you are transitioning from chemical damage or just want a change, we will find a style that works for your face shape and lifestyle.
