At Cubby Tales, we believe learning extends far beyond the classroom. We take our cubs out into the neighborhood to explore, discover, and build empathy through real-world experiences.

Learning happens everywhere, not just in the classroom. This field trip to the local fire station was an exciting opportunity for children to meet community heroes and learn about their important work firsthand.

Our field trip to a plant nursery was a treat for the senses. The children had fun exploring different plants, pots, and textures, learning about nature in a hands on way.

Exploring the wonders of a garden. This trip to a local nursery helped our little ones learn about different kinds of plants and the importance of caring for our environment.

A day to remember. Our visit to an old age home was a heartwarming experience that taught our children the importance of empathy, respect, and connecting with elders in our community.

About this collection

Every outing is planned with a high teacher-to-child ratio, ensuring that whether we are visiting a local fire station or exploring a plant nursery, every child remains safe while actively observing the world around them. We treat these trips as essential lessons in social awareness, nature, and empathy that our classroom walls simply cannot provide.

Childhood is a precious window for discovery, and we want our cubs to see the world as their classroom. When we step outside the gates of our Koramangala center, we are not just going for a walk; we are engaging in practical learning that textbooks cannot teach.

Why We Go Outside

Our field trips are designed to spark curiosity and build character. For instance, when we visit a local fire station, the children see community heroes in action, which helps them understand the concept of service and bravery. These aren't just photo opportunities. They are moments where a child might hold a hose, sit in a fire truck, or simply ask questions about how the station runs.

Similarly, trips to local plant nurseries are all about sensory exploration. The children touch different leaves, see how seeds are planted, and learn about the environment by interacting with it directly. We balance these active explorations with visits to quiet spaces like old age homes, where we teach our little ones about respect, kindness, and connecting with the elders in our community.

Our Approach to Safety

We know that parents need peace of mind when we take children off-site. We manage our trips with:

  • Small Batches: We ensure the group size is manageable and capped so every child gets individual attention.
  • Supervision: Our staff travels with the children, maintaining the same care standards you see at our daycare.
  • Preparedness: We choose locations close to our center and always have a plan for safe transport and hydration.

These adventures help our cubs grow into empathetic, aware, and curious individuals, and we love being the ones to guide them through their first encounters with the real world.
