We strip cricket down to its science. Whether it is a fast bowler's load-up or a batter's stance, we focus on the biomechanics that win matches. See how we build skills from the ground up.

Mastering the short barrier is crucial for saving runs inside the circle. This is the first step: approaching the ball low, with a steady head and eyes on the ball. A good approach sets up the entire fielding action.

The next phase of the short barrier is the set position and pickup. A wide base for balance, bent knees, and one knee behind the ball ensures you are in a stable position to gather the ball cleanly with soft hands.

After the pickup, it's about a quick transfer and load. The body turns side-on to generate power, and the back leg is loaded, ready to push off and throw. This quick transition is what creates run-outs.

The final step is a strong overarm throw and a full follow-through. Aim and accuracy are everything here. A complete follow-through ensures you have used all the momentum generated, resulting in a flat, powerful throw.

This is our complete sequence breakdown for fast bowling. It all starts with a smooth and rhythmic approach. The key is to stay tall, balanced, and keep your eyes focused on the target to build momentum correctly.

The pre-load and load-up are where power is generated. The ball is kept close to the body, the front arm is strong, and the body coils with a high front knee. This is the engine room of a fast bowler's action.

The delivery stride is where the magic happens. The back foot lands strong, the body is aligned, and the front foot is braced to transfer energy. A strong front arm pull and chest drive forward maximizes force at the release point.

The release and follow-through are critical for pace and accuracy. A high release point with a quick wrist snap, followed by a balanced follow-through where the back leg comes through, ensures the bowler is not only fast but also safe from injury.

Long-range hitting is a combination of a stable stance, a high backlift, and an explosive power transfer. We teach our batsmen how to use their entire body, from the legs and core, to generate the force needed to clear the boundary.

Wrist work and bottom hand control are vital for directing the ball and adding that extra power. While the top hand guides the swing, the bottom hand and wrists provide the final snap to get the ball over the ropes.

About From Fundamentals to Finishing: Skill Breakdowns

You aren't just looking at photos here. You are looking at our coaching syllabus. We use video analysis tools like Silicon Coach to catch the mechanical errors you cannot feel while playing. When you train with us at our Baliawas or Sector 70 grounds, we do not just watch you bat or bowl. We analyze your backlift, your load-up, and your pivot, making sure every movement is efficient before we ever talk about raw power.
