How I Approach Pattern Testing

I’m Bhairavi, fibre artist and pattern tester. Working with other designers is honestly the highlight of my crochet journey. Pattern testing isn’t just about following instructions - I treat every project like a genuine collaboration. I get your pattern before anyone else, work through it from start to finish, and help you smooth out the details that make it shine.

What You Can Expect

• I’ll source my own yarn and crochet your design exactly as written.
• Throughout, I note what’s working and what’s confusing. Expect direct, honest feedback - I don’t sugarcoat!
• I look at everything: stitch count accuracy, whether the sizing feels right (especially for made-to-measure patterns), and if the instructions actually make sense.
• I’ll check your supporting photos, charts, and guides for clarity.
• Once it’s done, I’ll style and model the final piece, sending you photos and videos you can use.

My Experience

I’ve tested 49+ patterns for designers worldwide, from simple bandanas to complex tops, sweaters, and dresses. I love working with projects that need a “body snatched fit” or anything with detailed construction. Not every pattern is perfect on the first try, and that’s totally normal - my feedback is all about helping you get there.
