About Future Stars: Training for Beginners
We don't start kids with heavy leather balls. For our beginners, we focus on safe, progressive drills—moving from tennis to soft synthetic balls—to build confidence and core batting technique without the fear of injury. It allows them to get the grip, stance, and backlift right before they face any real pressure.
At Cricket Explained, we believe the best time to start is now. For our youngest recruits, the focus isn't on winning trophies immediately; it’s about 'getting it right' from day one. We create a space where girls as young as eight can pick up a bat, understand the stance, and learn to love the game.
Our setup uses enclosed Astro turf nets to ensure even bounce, which is crucial for injury prevention and teaching correct biomechanics early. We keep batch sizes small—roughly a 1:12 coach ratio—so every girl gets the personal attention needed to fix her grip or run-up early.
Why this matters: Cricket is a game of repetition. By building a solid foundation in batting, bowling, and fielding fundamentals now, we prepare players for the intensity of state-level trials later. We aren't just teaching a sport; we are preparing them for the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) pathway, whether they aspire to play for the U15, U19, or senior teams. If you are in Dombivli and want your child to learn the game the right way, this is where it starts.
Cricket Explained
I started Cricket Explained to share what my father taught me—that cricket is a God-given gift. My team and I focus on building 'thinking players' who own their game, whether they are just starting out or preparing for state trials. We’re here to help them earn their spot.
