Newborn Baby Styled Photography Sessions
We transform your baby's first few days into art using soft, handpicked props and cozy studio setups. Every session in our Whitefield studio is designed to be quiet, comfortable, and timeless.
A vision in sunny yellow. This baby girl is nestled in a rustic basket, surrounded by delicate white and yellow flowers, creating a bright and cheerful newborn portrait.
A slightly different angle of this beautiful yellow-themed setup, showing the baby's peaceful expression as she sleeps. I take multiple shots to ensure we capture the perfect moment.

About Sweet Dreams & Styled Setups
We design these sessions to be completely baby-led, which is why we rely on gentle swaddling and props like wooden bowls and rustic baskets. These setups work best when your little one is in their deepest phase of sleep—ideally within the first two weeks—allowing us to gently place them into positions that highlight those tiny, delicate features. We manage the studio temperature and lighting specifically to keep your baby settled so we can capture those peaceful expressions without rushing.
The Art of a Styled Newborn Shoot
When we talk about 'styled setups,' we aren't looking for over-the-top themes. We look for simplicity that keeps the focus on your baby. My approach to newborn photography is rooted in creating a serene environment where the baby feels secure. In our Whitefield studio, we use a variety of soft wraps, bonnets, and headbands to create different textures, pairing them with natural elements like floral arrangements or wooden textures to add depth to the frame.
Preparing for Your Session
The most important factor for a successful shoot is timing. Newborns are naturally more flexible and sleepier during the first 14 days of life. This window allows us to pose them in those curled, fetal positions that parents love. If you are past the two-week mark, do not worry—we can still capture beautiful images, though the baby might be more alert, leading to a different, equally wonderful style of photography.
What Happens at the Studio
We provide everything needed for the session, from the wraps and baskets to the floral backdrops. You do not need to bring outfits unless you have a specific heirloom blanket or toy you want to include. The session is paced to allow for feeding and comforting breaks, ensuring that we never force a pose if the baby is restless.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is it safe for the baby? Safety is our priority. We never perform poses that put the baby at risk or require them to support their own weight.
- Can we include parents? Our solo newborn packages focus entirely on the baby, but we do offer comprehensive family packages if you would like portraits with parents and siblings.
- How long are the sessions? Depending on the baby's mood, a studio session typically lasts between 90 minutes to two hours.

I’m Manjari, and I believe newborn photography is about holding onto magic before it slips away. I focus on the tiny details—the wrinkly toes, the quiet smiles, and the soft glow—to create images that feel like poetry.
