Behind the lens with my wedding photography process
I’m Somesh, and I don’t believe in static posing. This is how we move, how we work, and how we find those unscripted moments that make your story yours.
A little about my journey. I started by chasing shadows and light, and now I have the privilege of capturing the most important moments in people's lives. This is more than a job for me; it's my passion.
A behind-the-scenes look at a pre-wedding shoot in Jaipur. You can see my team and I in action, working to get the perfect shot, whether it's finding the right angle or directing a cinematic video sequence.
About this collection
You’ll often see me or my team crouched on the ground or balancing on a ledge just to get the light hitting your face exactly right. It looks chaotic, but that’s the reality of a candid shoot—we’re moving with you, not directing you like mannequins. If you’re camera-shy, notice how we interact with couples in these clips; we aren't looking for a stiff pose, we are looking for the joke that makes you both laugh naturally.
My Approach: From Streets to Altars
My journey started chasing shadows and light on the streets, where you don’t get a second chance to catch a moment. I brought that same energy to wedding photography. When you see me working, you won't see me setting up heavy lights or making you hold a smile for thirty seconds.
How We Work
Whether we are in a palace in Rajasthan, a cafe in Delhi, or the misty hills of Mussoorie, the goal is to keep you comfortable. We use Nikon Zf full-frame gear because it is compact and discrete, allowing us to blend into the background. My cinematographer often uses a gimbal for those smooth, cinematic movements, while I focus on capturing the raw emotion in a still frame.
The Logistics
We don't do 'static' photography. We use drone shots to set the scale of the landscape and integrate snippets of your real conversations to make your films feel personal.
We typically work in 6 to 8-hour blocks for photography or 8 to 10 hours for combined film and photo packages. This gives us enough time to get past the initial awkwardness and into the 'real you' phase. If you are looking for a team that will actually run around with you to get the shot, rather than standing behind a tripod, we should talk.
