Storytelling Classes and Stage Confidence Programs
I don't just read stories; I help children inhabit them. Through interactive role-play and expressive narration, we transform shy observers into confident young performers, one character at a time.
It's a magical moment when kids take the stage and tell the story of 'The Gruffalo' themselves. This performance shows how they absorb the story and express it with confidence in their own unique ways.
Our little storytellers bringing the classic tale of 'The Three Little Pigs' to life. Through this fun role-play, they learn about teamwork, creative expression, and the importance of hard work.
What is true joy, winning or participating? Here, our students explore characters from the 'Sochu' book series, learning to think out of the box and express different personalities on stage.
A look at our 'Show and Tell' session with the toddler batch, themed around ocean life. The kids confidently talk about different sea creatures like walruses, crabs, and oysters, showing what they've learned.
The conclusion of the 'Hansmukh Rakshas' story. Karimoogga learns that true happiness comes from sharing, a beautiful lesson wrapped in a fun and magical tale.
Part one of our 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' storytelling session. I use simple props and expressive acting to capture the toddlers' attention and introduce them to this classic fairy tale.
The story of Goldilocks continues. The children are completely engrossed as the three bears discover a visitor in their home, learning about actions and consequences in an engaging way.
Our little rockstars getting into character for their 'Gruffalo' play. This is where they build memories, friendships, and the courage to perform in front of an audience.
Let's go on a bear hunt! I use this rhythmic story by Michael Rosen to get kids moving and chanting along, making it an interactive adventure through grass, rivers, and mud.
Storytelling with toddlers featuring 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. Using simple stick puppets, I introduce them to the concepts of big and small, and the classic theme of brains over brawn.
About Storytelling & Stage Confidence
Getting a child to speak in front of others isn't about memorizing lines; it's about giving them a character they feel comfortable with. Whether it's the Gruffalo or a timid pig from The Three Little Pigs, I use props, hand puppets, and voice modulation to make the stage feel like a playground rather than a place to be judged. No performance is ever perfect, and that is exactly how we keep it fun.
When parents come to me, they often worry about stage fright or 'my child doesn't speak up.' My response is always the same: keep it light. In my Storytelling & Stage Confidence sessions, we break down the fear of the stage by focusing on the joy of the story.
We start with small, low-pressure activities like our 'Show and Tell' sessions, where kids talk about familiar topics like ocean life or their favorite animals. From there, we move into themed workshops—like our Commotion in the Ocean showcase or Sochu series discussions—where children have the freedom to act, move, and experiment with different characters.
Learning at Chronicles Room is messy and active. We use cardboard houses, voice-changing microphones, and eco-friendly props because children learn best when they are using their hands and bodies. We aren't doing drills; we are building muscle memory for public speaking. By the time a child stands up to perform a play, they have already practiced the story dozens of times through games, art, and reading.
If you are based in Delhi NCR and want your child to build confidence without the stress of rigid training, come visit us. Let's see how your child blooms when they stop trying to be 'correct' and start simply being themselves.
Chronicles Room
I’m Ruchika, and for me, a successful session isn’t about perfect lines; it’s about the sparkle in a child’s eye when they finish their performance. I believe every child has a story inside them—I just provide the costumes and the stage to help them let it out.
