About Memories Sculpted into Art

Because I hand-sculpt every element, from the tiny petals on a floral border to the features of a portrait, I need about 10 to 15 business days to finish your piece. This includes the sculpting, baking, and curing time required to ensure your wall art is durable. If you have a specific date for a gift, it helps to reach out well in advance so I can give it the time it needs.

Making these plaques is my way of slowing down. Whether it is a relief portrait of a couple walking through a field or a detailed figure of a Bharatanatyam dancer, I start with polymer clay and work it by hand on a circular MDF base. I do not use molds, which means if you ask for a custom element, like a specific outfit or a significant pose, I am sculpting that from scratch.

Once sculpted, the clay is baked, and then I apply multiple coats of varnish. This seals the work, making it resistant to dust and moisture, so you can display it in your living room or bedroom without worrying about it fading or losing its charm. These 8 to 10 inch plaques are popular for weddings, anniversaries, and milestones like pregnancy. Because they are 2.5D, they catch light beautifully and add a layer of texture to your walls that flat photos or prints cannot match. If you are planning a surprise, just share the reference photos with me, and we can figure out the composition together.

I am the person behind the clay scraps and the messy desk. I find so much joy in taking a photo or a story you send me and turning it into something you can hold. It is not just a plaque, but a piece of my heart that I hope helps you remember a special moment forever.
