Fight Choreography & Cinematic Combat
I design action sequences for cinema, from raw street brawls to complex stunts. If you want to perform for the camera or need to train your cast for screen combat, this is where we build the skill.
A simple but effective fight sequence practice. We focus on timing, reaction, and selling the impact for the camera, breaking down each move to ensure it looks real.
Practicing basic blocks and strikes. This is fundamental for any actor preparing for an action role, building the muscle memory needed for fight choreography.
This is a demonstration of a takedown move for a multi-person fight scene. We use safety mats to practice high-impact stunts like this without risk of injury.
Here I am teaching a student a defensive lift and throw. This kind of partner work is essential for building trust and timing between performers in a choreographed fight.
A short sequence showing a jump-over takedown. I choreograph stunts that are visually exciting and help tell the story of the fight.
About this collection
For cinema, hitting hard is not the point. It is about selling the impact to the camera. We train specifically for those reaction shots and safety maneuvers, so your performance looks powerful but stays completely safe on set.
For film action, the camera is your real opponent. It sees everything. That is why we focus on 'selling the hit'. It is not just about swinging arms. It is about blocking, reaction timing, and using the right body language to make a 2-second clip look like a 2-minute fight.
My Process for Cinema
When you hire me for action choreography, we do not just walk on set and wing it. We start with:
- Pre-visualization: We film a rough version first. This helps us see the angles, check the rhythm, and make sure the action fits the story.
- Rehearsal: We spend 2 days perfecting the hits and misses. Actors learn to control their power, and I provide manual spotting to keep everyone safe.
- On-Set Supervision: I stay for the shoot day. Whether it is a street brawl or technical martial arts, I handle the ground checks and ensure the stunts look high-impact without the risk.
Why Practice Matters
I am a farmer's son. I have no fancy degrees, just the ground under my feet. My training at Basaveshwara Nagar and Sobha Indraprastha is designed for real people. We use high-density crash mats and pure body weight training. No wires, no harness, just pure control. If you have a fight scene to plan or need to learn combat for a role, reach out. Practice is the only way.
