About this collection
I prioritize structure for crepe fabrics by using premium padding and bust cups to ensure the material drapes correctly. Whether you want an open back with delicate pearl details or a closed neck with dense peacock motifs, I ensure the finish is clean and the embroidery is balanced so it does not weigh down your delicate saree.
Mysore crepe silk is known for its soft, fluid drape. When I design blouses for these sarees, my goal is to respect that texture while providing the support needed for a flattering silhouette. I work primarily with raw silk or premium velvet bases that ground the light crepe fabric.
For these pieces, I pay close attention to the neckline and sleeve. A heavy Maggam work sleeve can sometimes pull on lighter crepe, so I balance the weight of the embroidery with reinforced lining. I often use Aari and Zardosi techniques to create motifs that pop against the solid, vibrant tones of a crepe saree.
If you have a classic KSIC or a modern pastel crepe, we can discuss custom necklines like keyholes, V-necks, or deep U-cuts. My studio in Nelamangala is where we do all the stitching, so you can come in for a consultation. We will look at fabric swatches and decide if you want a matching monochrome look or a bold, contrasting color palette to make your saree stand out.
Soul Couture
I am Chandana, and my studio, Soul Couture, is built on a love for thoughtful details. I do not believe in mass-producing designs because I want to create a blouse that feels like it belongs to your saree. If you are in Bangalore, come by and we can plan your next outfit together.
