About Milestone Sessions: Celebrating The In-Between
These sessions are specifically designed for babies who can sit up unsupported, usually around the six-month mark. It is that perfect developmental window where they have started showing a distinct personality but are not yet running around, making it the ideal time for focused, joyful portraits.
Capturing your baby at the six-month mark is all about the sitter stage. This is when the gummy smiles are frequent, and they can finally interact with props and backdrops without being mobile. In my Whitefield and Dommasandra studios, I use safe, ergonomic posing aids to keep them comfortable while I photograph those first big belly laughs.
Whether you want a beachy setup with soft lighting or a rustic teepee, we create a mini-world that reflects your baby's stage. Parents often ask what to bring, but I provide the outfits, headbands, and props, so you just need to bring your happy baby. These sessions are faster than newborn shoots, usually wrapping up in under 90 minutes. It is a relaxed experience where we prioritize their comfort first. If they get tired, we take a break for cuddles or a feed. My goal is to ensure you walk away with photos that capture exactly who they are right now, before those tiny toes start taking their first steps.
