How I Turn Wood Into Memories
I’m an artist who loves making things with my hands. For me, carving wood is not just a craft - it’s a way to capture someone’s quirks, their bond, even their memories, in a tiny figure. My studio is called 'Land of Lilliput', and I want every piece to spark joy.
What I Make
- Custom Figurines: Send me your photos, and I’ll make a 3D caricature just for you. I do single, couple, and pet figurines. Your pet’s goofy face or your best friend’s iconic smile - I try to get the small details right.
- Handmade Collectible Figurines: I also do limited edition pieces, like my 'Joy Baba Felunath' set. These are for those who love a bit of Kolkata’s film history or want something special for their shelf.
My Process
No machines here. I use carving tools, a block of wood, and plenty of patience. I spend hours hand carving and painting each figurine, whether it’s the pattern on a kurta or a pet’s fur. Sometimes, folks see their piece and say, “Kya sundar banaya hai!” (So beautifully made!) That’s my best moment.

My Story
Hey, I'm the face behind Carry the Caricature. Kolkata's my home, so that 'Bangaliana' thing runs in my veins - art, adda, and making folks smile. Started with just pen and paper, now I travel everywhere, sketching at shaadis (weddings), street corners, you name it. 90s Bollywood, chai, and people’s stories - all show up in my work. Best bit? Seeing someone’s face light up when they get their own caricature. Pure joy, yaar.
