About For the Little Ones
When choosing jewellery for your child, the design matters just as much as the metal. I specifically craft these pieces with screw-back earrings to ensure they stay on during playtime and do not prick delicate skin, while keeping everything lightweight so they are comfortable for everyday wear.
Finding the right balance between 'cute' and 'durable' is the biggest challenge when making jewellery for children. Most store-bought pieces are mass-produced and often use materials that can irritate sensitive skin. In my Bhendi Bazaar workshop, I use 18k hallmarked gold alloyed specifically to be skin-safe.
My collection focuses on designs that kids actually enjoy wearing, like our strawberry and apple sets with vibrant African rubies and Zambian emeralds, or our enamel silver buttons that add a playful touch to a kurta. For those concerned about loss or breakage, I use sturdy bezel settings to hold stones securely in place.
I treat these projects the same way I treat my signature men's rings, with strict quality checks. As a government-certified valuer, I ensure every gemstone is authentic and every set meets a standard that I would feel comfortable giving to my own family members.
