Creating a convincing Janmashtami set involves more than just props; it is about balancing the visual aesthetic with the comfort of the little ones. When you book a festive session with us, I handle the entire setup—from the matkis and peacock feathers to the traditional outfits—so all you need to do is bring your child ready for their close-up.

When I start planning a Janmashtami setup, it begins with the atmosphere. I want it to feel like stepping into a small, vibrant slice of Vrindavan. In the images above, you can see the layering involved—from the hay structures and marigolds to the authentic matkis and peacock feathers.

But the real magic isn't just the props. It’s the time spent ensuring the floor is comfortable for a baby to sit on and that the lighting is soft enough not to startle them. Because these shoots often involve infants and toddlers, the setup needs to be functional as well as beautiful. We have to make sure there's enough space for parents to be close by, and that all the costumes—whether for a chhota Gopal or a nanhi si Radha—are skin-friendly and easy to change.
