We go beyond flat walls by building physical depth into your space. Using sculpting techniques, gold leafing, and mixed media, we create art that you can actually feel and touch.

We are always experimenting. This video gives a sneak peek into our process of creating new textures for sculptural work. After two months of developing custom tools, we're excited about the unique patterns we can now offer for relief art.

This Cuban portrait is a prime example of our 3D relief work. The character's face, hat, and collar are physically sculpted on the wall, creating realistic shadows and making the art pop. This technique brings a new level of life to our portraits.

Texture can be subtle but powerful. On this Buddha mural, we used gold foils not just for color but to create a raised, tactile texture on the hair and forehead, adding a layer of richness and detail that you can almost feel.

About Beyond the Brush: 3D & Textured Art

These projects are about more than just paint; they are physical installations that change how your room feels. We layer sculpting materials, gold leaf, and high-density textures directly onto the surface to play with shadow and light, which means the art shifts and evolves throughout the day. Because this requires building structural layers and specific drying times, you should plan for a 10 to 15-day execution window to get the finish just right.

How We Add Depth

We do not just paint on a wall. Our 3D relief work involves adding material, sculpting shapes, and creating tactile surfaces that pop out from the wall. Whether it is a portrait where the facial features are physically raised, or a landscape that uses different materials to create depth, we aim to make your wall a living, breathing part of the room.

The Process

  1. Concepting: We start by understanding the architecture of your space and how the light hits your wall.
  2. Material Selection: We choose the right medium—be it sculpting clay, heavy-body acrylics, or mixed media elements.
  3. Application: Our team builds the relief structure layer by layer. This is an intensive process, which is why these projects take longer than standard murals.
  4. Finishing: We apply weather-proof varnishes or metallic foils (like gold or silver leaf) to give the texture that final punch.

Why Choose Texture?

Flat walls are great, but texture adds personality. It works exceptionally well in high-traffic commercial spaces like pubs or lobbies where you want something that looks different from every angle. It also creates a premium feel for feature walls in homes.

Practical Details

  • Timelines: Because we are building up layers, expect a 10 to 15-day timeline for a standard 150 sq. ft. wall.
  • Requirements: We need the client to provide scaffolding for high-access areas.
  • Durability: All our 3D work is finished with industrial-grade, UV-resistant varnish, making it suitable for both interior and exterior walls.
