About Build Strength on Land
You can have the perfect stroke, but if your core gives out halfway through a race, your form will fall apart. We add targeted dryland work to our training to make sure your body stays tight, controlled, and powerful until the very last meter.
At Blue Dragon, we don't just swim laps. We know that real speed comes from a combination of in-water technique and out-of-water conditioning. Our dryland routines, which are a core part of our Competitive Squad training, focus on functional strength and core stability. Squats, burpees, and push-ups are not just for general fitness. They are the foundation for explosive starts and maintaining body position when you are fatigued. When your muscles are conditioned to handle strain, your technique holds steady during the final, hardest part of your swim. For those in our advanced batches, we integrate 15 to 20 minutes of deck work specifically designed to build explosive power and muscular endurance. Whether you are prepping for a triathlon or just want to stop hitting that speed plateau, integrating these land-based movements is the smartest way to improve your overall swim fitness. We make sure these sessions are accessible yet challenging, ensuring that every minute you spend out of the water makes your time in the pool more efficient.
