Fencing Coaching & Technique Drills in Bengaluru
Master the art of the blade with dedicated coaching in Bengaluru. We focus on precision, form, and building the mental edge you need to compete.
A successful fencer is built through consistent, focused practice. This short clip shows a one on one drill where we work on reaction time and blade control in a controlled setting.
As a coach, my role is to observe every detail. Here, I am watching a student's form during a practice bout, ensuring there is no room for error and that every movement is efficient and purposeful.
Progress in fencing is a step by step process. This video shows a student working on her form with me, a reminder that persistence is key and that you are always closer to your goal than you think.

About Coaching & Technique Drills
We do not just teach you how to hold a sword. My coaching sessions break down your lunge and parry into repeatable, efficient movements. Whether we are drilling footwork on the agility ladder or analyzing your bout strategy on video, the goal is simple: to make your technique second nature before you ever step onto a competitive strip.
The Science of the Blade
Fencing is often called physical chess for a reason. It is not about raw strength or random swings. It is about understanding distance, timing, and the mental game behind every movement. At Bengaluru Fencing Club, my coaching philosophy is built on these principles, guiding students through the technical demands of foil, epee, and sabre.
Building Your Foundation
We start with the basics, but we never stay there. Beginners spend time on footwork and blade control, building the muscle memory that prevents injury and improves accuracy. I personally oversee these sessions to ensure you are not just going through the motions. We use agility ladders and medicine balls to build the explosive power necessary for fencing lunges, ensuring your body is as ready as your mind.
Advanced Competitive Training
For those looking to compete, we move into electric scoring scenarios. We simulate tournament conditions, using floor reels and body wires so you are comfortable with the equipment under pressure. Video analysis is a key part of our masterclasses. We record your bouts to spot subtle errors in your stance or timing that you might miss in the heat of the moment.
Safety and Gear
People often worry that fencing is dangerous, but it is actually quite safe. We use full protective gear like jackets, masks, and chest guards, so you can focus entirely on your game. Whether you are training at our Peenya facility or joining us in Indiranagar, you have full access to our club inventory for your first three months. You do not need to buy your own kit while you are still finding your style.
