Makeup Through the Decades

From the dramatic, moody eyes of the 1920s to the sharp, graphic mod styles of the 1960s, I specialize in recreating iconic historical looks for stage, film, and creative shoots across Bangalore.

A direct, full-face view of my modern Twiggy-inspired makeup. Notice how the sharp graphic eyeliner and carefully placed lower lashes open up the eyes, capturing the iconic 1960s mod aesthetic while feeling fresh and contemporary.

With eyes closed, you can see the precision of the floating crease eyeliner that defines this 1960s look. The solid block of teal eyeshadow is a hallmark of the era's bold and experimental approach to color.

This angle highlights the complete eye makeup, including the voluminous false lashes on the top lash line. Paired with a soft, neutral lip, the focus remains entirely on the dramatic, retro eyes.

Watch this look come to life in motion. This video shows how the graphic liner and lashes look from different angles, demonstrating how a historical look can be dynamic and wearable for a shoot or event.

My interpretation of 1920s makeup, designed to look "sad" in contrast to the era's economic boom. This look features dark, droopy eyeshadow, pencil-thin brows drawn downwards, and a touch of glitter to represent a tear.

A view with the eyes closed shows the blended, dark green eyeshadow that creates the moody 1920s feel. The look is completed with a deep green cupid's bow lip, another signature element of the time.

About Makeup Through the Decades

Achieving these looks requires more than just picking the right color palette. To get that authentic 1920s silhouette, I use techniques like brow blocking to create those pencil-thin, downward-sloping arches that define the era. Whether we are prepping for a period photo shoot or a high-energy stage performance, I focus on structural details like period-specific contouring and sweat-resistant baking so your character stays intact under harsh studio lights or stage heat.
