About My Draping Portfolio

You’ll notice the signature 'fluffy pleats' in these images—a technique I use to keep sarees voluminous and elegant without using heat that could damage delicate silks. My goal is simple: whether you are wearing a heavy Kanjeevaram for a wedding or a lighter party drape, you should feel comfortable and confident from the moment you leave home until you return.

Draping isn't just about wrapping fabric; it’s about understanding the fall of the material and your body type. In these photos, you’ll see my work with diverse styles, from the traditional Tamil Brahmin Madisar and Maharashtrian Nauvari to modern, trendy looks like the Butterfly or Can-Can drape. I focus heavily on the mechanics of the drape—securing hip pleats so they don't shift, managing heavy pallus, and ensuring the silhouette is flattering. For clients who struggle with time or the hassle of pleating, I provide pre-pleating and box-folding services that make your saree 'wear-ready' for travel or quick changes. For those who want to learn, my studio sessions in JP Nagar dive deep into fabric handling, pin placement, and posture, so you can stop relying on others and drape like a pro yourself. Whether it’s an early morning Muhurtham or a late-night reception, the techniques I use—like heatless setting—ensure your saree stays perfect without compromising the life of the fabric.
