At BAM, our teachers are the heart of the academy. We are a team of active, performing musicians who believe that learning an instrument should be as enjoyable as playing one, regardless of your age or experience.
Meet Brendan, our Founder and Principal Violin Instructor. With 15 years of experience, a Grade 8 from Trinity College, and a philosophy that music is for everyone, he sets the tone for our entire academy.
Get to know our violin instructor, Gaurangi. She shares her musical journey, her teaching philosophy of making lessons enjoyable, and her experience performing with maestros like Zubin Mehta and Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Meet Rishikesh, one of our wonderful guitar instructors. He views music as a language that anyone can learn and brings his experience from his blues band, Dune Heart, to his simple, artful teaching approach.
This is David, another one of our dedicated violin instructors. A member of the Bombay Chamber Orchestra with a Grade 8 from Trinity College, he loves helping students develop a deep and lasting love for music.

Meet the BAM Team
- Brendan (Founder & Violinist): With over 15 years of experience, Brendan has performed with the Indian National Youth Orchestra and the Bombay Chamber Orchestra. He specializes in the Suzuki method, blending it with modern hits to make violin accessible for everyone.
- Gaurangi (Violin Instructor): A conservatory-trained violinist, Gaurangi brings elite experience to the studio, having performed with legends like Zubin Mehta and Ustad Zakir Hussain. She balances rigorous classical technique with a cheerful, engaging teaching style.
- Rishikesh (Guitar Instructor): Bringing the soul of the blues to the classroom, Rishikesh is an active member of the band Dune Heart. He focuses on the joy of playing, teaching guitar as a way to express yourself rather than just following drills.
- David (Violin Instructor): As a member of the Bombay Chamber Orchestra and a working composer and sound engineer, David helps students understand the full scope of music. His background in diverse genres from indie to rock brings a fresh, contemporary perspective to his lessons.
