Life and Learning at BAM Academy of Music

We keep our group batches small—strictly four to five students—so our teachers, like Rushikesh and David, can actually hear what you are playing. It is a space where you can pause, restart, and laugh through those first messy attempts at a new scale, knowing you have a supportive ear nearby.

At BAM, we think of music as a language that everyone can speak, provided they have the right environment. Our studio in Andheri West is designed to feel less like a rigid classroom and more like a creative home. Whether you are picking up a violin for the first time or returning to the piano after years away, our instructors—all Trinity College or ABRSM certified—focus on building your foundation without stripping away the joy of playing.

Why Our Approach Works

We combine rigorous technical training with the music you actually want to play. You might be learning classical techniques, but we mix in Bollywood hits like 'Piyu Bole' or pop tracks to keep things grounded and fun.

What Happens in the Studio

• Small Group Focus: By limiting our batch sizes to 5 students, we ensure that you get individual feedback during every session. You are never lost in a crowd.
• The Suzuki Advantage: For our violinists, we use the Suzuki method, which mimics the way we learn our mother tongue. It emphasizes listening and repetition over dry theory.
• Performance-Ready Skills: We want you to feel confident outside the studio. We use proprietary backing tracks that simulate the experience of playing with a band, helping you master rhythm and timing early on.
• Instrument Flexibility: Not sure what to pick? Our introductory camps allow you to test out guitar, ukulele, vocals, and keys before you commit to purchasing an instrument.
