Classic, cozy poses that celebrate your baby’s first days. These images focus on gentle swaddling and quiet comfort to capture their earliest expressions.

A perfectly swaddled newborn sleeping peacefully in a tiny armchair. I love using simple props like this to show just how small and precious they are. The bear-ear bonnet adds a touch of cuteness.

Simplicity at its best. This newborn is wrapped in a deep purple swaddle and resting in a soft, fluffy basket. The dark wood background makes the colors pop.

A dapper little gentleman! This close-up shot highlights the adorable details of this themed pose, from the tiny white bowtie to the round glasses.

A playful and cheeky moment! It's always a treat when a baby shows off their personality with a little tongue-out expression during a shoot.

This little one is wide awake and full of smiles. I love capturing these interactive moments, showing the baby's bright eyes and happy expression.

An angelic portrait of a sleeping newborn swaddled in white, with a delicate crystal headband. The blurred flowers in the foreground add a soft, dreamy feel.

A detailed close-up of a newborn's profile, highlighting their delicate features, soft skin, and the beautiful beaded headband.

Another profile view, capturing the sweet curve of the baby's cheek and nose. These simple shots are all about celebrating their perfect newness.

A full view of the baby wrapped in a soft white blanket, adorned with pink flowers. This classic pose is always a favorite among parents.

This pose, often called the "potato sack" wrap, keeps the baby snug and secure, allowing for these adorable, sleepy portraits in our miniature chair.

About Sweet & Simple Poses

I keep things very simple in the studio so the focus remains entirely on your baby. Whether it is a soft white wrap or a neutral pastel setting, my goal is to highlight their delicate features without overcomplicating the frame. I work during those first few weeks when babies are sleepiest, which allows for those calm, curled-up poses you see here.

Timing is everything for these photos. I typically schedule newborn sessions between 5 days and one month after birth. During this window, your baby is usually in that deep, sleepy phase, which is perfect for achieving those classic, curled-up positions. If the baby is a little older, we can still get beautiful shots, but they tend to be more alert and active.

My Bhubaneswar studio is designed specifically for this quiet work. It is temperature-controlled to keep your little one comfortable, especially when they are lightly wrapped. I have a wide collection of soft bonnets, headbands, and fabric wraps in neutral tones like cream, soft grey, and pastel pink, all of which are laundered before every session to ensure hygiene.

Safety is the most critical part of my work. Having trained with experts like Ana Brandt, I use specialized techniques for handling and posing newborns. You will never see me force a pose, so if a baby is uncomfortable or fighting a position, we simply move to the next. The studio is equipped with white noise machines to maintain a calm environment, allowing us to work at a gentle pace that respects your baby's rhythm.
