About this collection
Unlike standard hotel buffets, our kitchen operates on strict medical prescriptions. Upon arrival, your diet is tailored by our Vaidyas based on your Prakruti (body constitution) and current health imbalances, meaning you will not find caffeine, alcohol, or processed ingredients here. Every meal—from our traditional red rice to monsoon-specific Karkidaka Kanji—is prepared specifically to support the therapeutic program you are undergoing.
The Science of Sattvic Healing
In Ayurveda, the quality of your food determines the quality of your healing. We follow a strict Sattvic diet, focusing on foods that are fresh, easily digestible, and naturally balanced. This approach eliminates the 'tamasic' (heavy or processed) foods that cause sluggishness, allowing your body to direct its energy toward detox and repair.
Your Personalized Dietary Plan
When you check in, our senior doctors analyze your health goals—whether you are here for chronic pain management, gut health, or burnout recovery. Your meals are then prescribed accordingly. If you are undergoing a detox or Panchakarma, your diet may shift through various phases, starting with simple rice porridge (Peya) to support your gut during the cleansing stage, and transitioning to nutrient-dense, vegetable-based meals as you move into restoration.
Dining at the Oottupura
Our traditional dining hall, the Oottupura, is designed to foster a sense of community. Here, guests from around the world share space, not just for meals, but for conversation and quiet reflection. It is an extension of the healing environment, free from the distractions of the outside world.
Learning to Heal at Home
We believe the wisdom of Ayurveda shouldn't stay at our campus. Our chefs regularly host interactive cooking sessions where we demonstrate how to use simple, natural ingredients to create meals that are both healing and flavorful. You will learn to work with traditional spices, understand the properties of ingredients like ghee and red rice, and see how easy it is to maintain a healthy, balanced kitchen routine long after you return home.
Ayurvedagram
We are a team that believes healing doesn't stop at the therapy table; it continues in our kitchen. We brought the authentic traditions of Kerala to our 13-acre campus in Bangalore, ensuring that every dish we serve actively supports the detox work your body is doing.
