Estate & Farmhouse Masterplans
Designing for an estate goes beyond building a house. We plan the entire footprint of your land to ensure that your home and the natural landscape grow together for decades to come.
An aerial drone shot of the 18-year-old farmhouse project in Nelamangala. This perspective truly shows how the structure is cradled by nature. The surrounding ring of trees, which I planned from the beginning, has now matured to provide a natural privacy screen and a habitat for local wildlife.
This composite image pairs aerial views with the original architectural elevations. It demonstrates how the 2D plans I created were realized in three dimensions and how the building has settled into the landscape over nearly two decades. It’s a testament to timeless design and sustainable planning.
This is another beautiful aerial view showing the farmhouse and its relationship to the wider agricultural landscape. The design intentionally preserves a large expanse of lawn and green space, connecting the home to its rural context and providing ample room for outdoor activities.
Here, I've combined different elevations and site views to tell the story of the project's design. You can see the thought process behind the building's form, including the cylindrical tower and covered walkways, and how these elements translate from a technical drawing to a finished, living structure.
About Estate & Farmhouse Masterplans
Master planning is primarily about reading your land. When we design for large estates, we study topography, solar movement, and natural wind paths before a single brick is laid. Our goal is to position your home so it feels like a natural extension of the plot, rather than a structure imposed upon it.
When you own a large plot, placing a building without considering the property as a whole is a missed opportunity. We treat your site as a single ecosystem, mapping out access, water drainage, and the best views from the very first sketch.
Take our Nelamangala project as an example. Eighteen years later, the trees we planted are the very things that give the house its privacy and keep the temperature naturally cool. That is the result of planning for the future, not just the immediate construction phase.
Our master planning process covers:
- Site Grading & Contouring: We manage natural slopes to prevent waterlogging and create usable, level areas for gardens or lawns.
- Native Vegetation Integration: We select regional species like Mango or Neem that thrive with minimal water, reducing maintenance while providing shade.
- Infrastructure Alignment: We plan pathways, utility lines, and vehicle access early so you avoid digging up your landscape a year after moving in.
- Micro-climate Creation: We use architectural features and planting zones to manage wind and shade, ensuring your outdoor spaces are comfortable year-round.
We sit down with you to understand how you intend to use the land—whether it is for hosting large gatherings, agricultural pursuits, or quiet weekends away from the city. Everything we draw is based on how you want to live.
