About Generations of Love: Portraits with Grandparents
For our generational shoots, we don't just point and shoot. Because we often have both infants and elderly grandparents in the same frame, our "Generational Legacy" session includes two dedicated assistants specifically to help with lighting, posing, and ensuring everyone—especially the baby—is comfortable and relaxed throughout the 4-5 hour process.
Capturing the connection between a grandparent and a grandchild is about more than just a family photo. It is about capturing a piece of your family history. When I shoot these sessions in Bangalore or Kolar, my goal isn't to get everyone to look at the lens and smile stiffly. Instead, I look for those tender, unscripted moments—a grandmother’s gentle touch or a grandfather's proud look when he holds the baby.
For these multi-generational sessions, we usually recommend our "Generational Legacy" package. It is designed to be a slow, stress-free experience. We dedicate 4 to 5 hours to the shoot, which gives us plenty of time for breaks. This is vital when working with newborns who need feeding or elderly grandparents who need a slower pace.
We handle the production details so you do not have to worry. We bring in extra lighting setups to ensure everyone is lit perfectly, and I provide two assistants to help with posing and baby handling. Whether we are in my Rayasandra studio or at an outdoor location, the focus remains on the bond. You will walk away with a luxury hardcover album and a gallery-wrapped canvas print that serves as a permanent heirloom for your home.
