About Experiential Hospitality Spaces
Our approach to hotel design prioritizes the sensory journey of the guest. When we select lighting or materiality, we analyze how it influences the user’s movement and mood, whether they are walking through a lobby or unwinding in a suite. We manage the technical integration of HVAC, utility systems, and custom joinery to ensure the design remains functional under the daily wear of high traffic.
We do not design for the camera alone. Our hospitality projects focus on the operational reality of the space, ensuring that aesthetic choices support business goals like flow efficiency and guest retention.
Operational Flow and Systems
In every hospitality project, we begin with flow planning. For restaurant layouts, we optimize for table turnover and service staff movement. For lobbies and reception areas, we prioritize wayfinding and the check-in experience. A critical part of our service is the concealment of necessary infrastructure. We integrate HVAC ducts, fire sprinklers, and medical gas lines within the ceiling and wall designs so they remain hidden from the guest experience while remaining accessible for maintenance.
Materiality and Durability
Luxury does not imply fragility. In high-traffic zones, we select heavy-duty materials that maintain their appearance over time. We often specify seamless Corian surfaces for reception desks, homogeneous vinyl for sterile zones, or large-format polished concrete for lobbies. These materials provide a clean, modern look while standing up to the demands of commercial use.
Custom Lighting and Joinery
Lighting defines the atmosphere. We design custom light installations that act as focal points, such as grand chandeliers in lobbies or recessed profiles that wash walls with soft light. We work directly with site craftsmen to build custom wooden rafters, acoustic panels, and furniture that fit the space exactly. By managing the project from the first sketch to the final installation, we ensure the vision remains intact through the entire construction phase.
