About Rooftop Living Spaces
The most important part of a rooftop installation isn't just the grass—it's the drainage. We ensure your surface is thoroughly cleaned and prepped for water flow before we lay the turf. This prevents water logging and mold, leaving you with a dry, usable green space rather than soggy patches.
Why Rooftops Need Specific Turf
Not all artificial grass is built for a rooftop. Unlike garden soil where water naturally absorbs, your roof is concrete. If you use poor-quality turf without permeable backing, water sits there, causing issues. We use 35-40mm high-density turf with a UV-stabilized PE and PP yarn blend. It is designed to handle harsh sun without fading and to let rainwater drain through to your existing drain caps.
Our Installation Process
We do not just roll out a carpet. Here is how we handle your space:
- Site Preparation: We sweep and deep-clean your tiles or concrete base to ensure the adhesive sticks properly.
- Precision Cutting: Rooftops have pillars, pipes, and odd angles. We custom-cut the turf to wrap around these obstacles for a seamless look.
- Secure Fixing: We use heavy-duty synthetic rubber adhesive or industrial-grade tape. This keeps the turf flat and safe, even if it gets windy.
- Post-work Cleanup: We handle the debris and fiber brushing, so your space is ready the moment we leave.
