Royal & Architectural Mehndi Designs
I create detailed architectural and royal mehndi designs that bring a touch of regality to your bridal look. From palace domes to intricate elephant motifs, these styles are crafted to stand out.
This is a classic royal bridal look with full coverage on both hands. The design features repeating lotus patterns on the palms and intricate peacock and elephant motifs on the forearms.
A grand design featuring majestic elephants on the forearms and detailed bird motifs on the palms. The use of negative space makes the figures stand out beautifully.
This is a storytelling masterpiece, featuring the Taj Mahal, royal elephants, a wedding doli scene, and bride and groom figures. It's a complete wedding story on two arms.
A stunning combination of architectural and traditional art. The wrist cuff features a palace design, which flows into a detailed peacock motif covering the entire palm.
This design showcases a 'Rajwada' or royal palace motif as a cuff on the wrist. The geometric patterns below it add a modern touch to the traditional architecture.
A close-up of an armband featuring a beautiful palace dome, flanked by peacocks. This kind of detail adds a regal touch to the upper arm portion of a bridal design.
This traditional design includes swan and palace motifs on the palm, with a kalash design on the forearm. The application video shows how these fine details are created.
A beautiful example of asymmetrical bridal mehndi. One hand features a royal elephant, while the other has a detailed peacock, both tied together with similar patterns and a lotus cuff.
A full view of a bride's intricate arm mehndi. The design is filled with traditional elements, including portraits and detailed filler patterns for a rich, heavy bridal look.
This design showcases a variety of royal motifs, including elephants, swans, and peacocks, combined with geometric and floral patterns for a truly grand appearance.
About Royal & Architectural Mehndi
These architectural designs require significant time to get the scale right on your arms. Because I use a fine-tip cone to shade the domes and pillars, I recommend planning for a longer session than standard bridal mehndi. This ensures every line in the palace and elephant motifs remains sharp and clean.
Crafting Your Royal Look
The Royal and Architectural style is all about precision. Unlike standard floral patterns, creating replicas of palaces, temples, or monument domes requires a steady hand and a deep understanding of perspective. When you choose this style, I work with a finer cone to capture the geometry of archways and the intricate carvings of elephant or peacock motifs.
What goes into the design:
- Scale and Proportion: I map out the placement of the palace or doli scene first to ensure it sits perfectly on your forearm without looking crowded.
- Negative Space: I balance the heavy architectural elements with finer jaal (net) work, allowing the main images to breathe and stand out in your wedding photos.
- Custom Storytelling: Many brides ask me to integrate their wedding venue or a specific monument that holds significance to their relationship.
Whether you want a grand Taj Mahal replica or a regal elephant procession, we will discuss the placement during our consultation. These designs are dense and rich, creating a deep, dark stain that is perfect for the heavy bridal look you need for your big day.
