About this collection

For these traditional designs, I do not just copy patterns; I balance the visual weight of the work. If you choose the heavy jaali (latticework) and palace scenes, I ensure the spacing remains breathable so the final stain comes out dark and distinct. It is not just about filling space, but about making sure the peacock or elephant motif stands out clearly against the delicate, intricate backdrop of the vine work.

There is a reason traditional motifs like the peacock, elephant, and royal jharokha (arched window) remain the heart of Indian bridal mehndi. These symbols are not just decorative; they carry a sense of heritage and auspiciousness that fits perfectly with a traditional wedding. When I work with these elements, I focus on the 'Marwari' style of symmetry and density that has been loved by brides in Delhi for generations.

My process for these designs involves:

  • Jaali and Fillers: The foundation of a royal look. I use a mix of dense grid patterns and floral vines to ensure the arm is fully covered without looking cluttered.
  • Motif Placement: I position the main peacock or elephant elements where they are most visible, ensuring they align with the natural curve of your palm and forearm.
  • Material Quality: Because these designs require extensive, dense application, I use my own blend of organic henna with essential oils to ensure a consistent, dark stain that lasts through the wedding rituals.

Whether you are wearing a heavy lehenga or a traditional saree, these motifs are designed to complement your attire rather than clash with it. If you have a specific venue in mind, like a farmhouse in Chhatarpur or a banquet in Rajouri Garden, we can adjust the complexity of these designs to suit your timeline and comfort.

Mehndi is my meditation. When I sit with a bride, I do not see a client; I see a canvas where I get to tell a story through ancient symbols. My hands are blessed with this art, and I pour that same devotion into every motif I create for your special day.
