Forget perfect crafts. Here, we let tiny hands get gloriously messy. My sensory art sessions for toddlers focus on texture, color exploration, and pure, unadulterated fun.

The highest levels of cuteness descend on my studio during the baby art classes! We get our hands and feet messy with paint and explore different textures with clay. It's all about sensory exploration.

Glimpses from my Saturday morning art class for babies and toddlers. With their mommas in tow, these little ones have so much fun exploring paint and making their first marks.

The best time is spent doing things that make you happy! My play-and-learn batch for kids under 3 is all about messy play, exploration, and finding joy in the process.

Look at this little artist in the making! My Mom and Me classes for kids under 3 are all about exploring textures and colors. Sometimes the body becomes the best canvas!

This is where my heart is! I did a workshop for over 200 nursery and KG kids, letting them get their hands messy and explore colors on a massive canvas. It was infectious joy!

Exploring our inner Picasso in colorful abandon! This is from a process art workshop where we used a giant floor canvas to let the kids paint freely under the sun.

This process art activity using paper cups to print circles is a classic for a reason. It's simple, fun, and the kids love seeing the patterns they can create.

Messy play is the best play! Here, a little one is exploring textures and colors by painting with her hands. This kind of sensory activity is crucial for development.

A little process art to keep your kids engaged. We traced our hands and then had a blast filling them in with all sorts of colorful patterns using sketch pens.

Letting our hands do the talking! In my classes, we don't just sit and draw. We experiment, we move, and sometimes we make a beautiful, colorful mess together.

About Messy Fun for Toddlers (Ages 1-4)

Parents often worry about the inevitable mess, but I have that completely covered. We use exclusively non-toxic, washable, and food-grade materials in a protected floor zone, meaning you just bring your little one, and I handle all the post-session cleanup.

My toddler sessions (ages 1.5 to 4) are designed as a 'Mom and Me' environment where the focus is entirely on tactile exploration. At this age, your child is developing critical fine motor skills, and sensory play is the best way to build them—whether they are stamping with sponges, painting with their hands, or just feeling the squish of texture pastes.

Why Process Art Matters

Unlike structured drawing classes, these sessions are about the experience. There is no 'right' way to paint an elephant or hold a brush. By letting toddlers experiment with different mediums—acrylics, clay, and mixed media—they learn that art is a safe place to make mistakes and build creative confidence. It is not about taking home a perfect picture to hang on the wall; it is about the joy of creating it in the first place.

What You Can Expect

  • Safe Materials: We use non-toxic, child-safe paints and tools, often food-grade, to ensure a safe environment for your little one.
  • Developmental Focus: Every session is tailored to short attention spans, typically lasting 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Convenience: We provide everything from heavy-duty aprons to floor mats. You show up, we make the mess, and I handle the cleanup.

Whether we are in my Sarvapriya Vihar studio or traveling across South Delhi for a session, my goal remains the same: to foster a love for creativity early on. These sessions are a great way for you and your child to spend dedicated time together, away from screens, in a space that celebrates the 'beautiful mess.'

I’m Anuradha, and honestly, seeing a toddler discover paint for the first time is my version of a masterpiece. I am a NIFT graduate who swapped the design desk for floor mats, specifically to create a space where your little one can be as messy as they want to be.
