About Custom Cards & Couple Portraits
When you commission a couple portrait, I do not just use a reference photo. I try to capture a specific feeling, often using a galaxy-like color wash to form the shape of you two together. Since these are 100% hand-painted on cold-press paper, just remember that the drying time and fine detailing take a bit of patience before I can ship them out to you.
My goal is to make sure your gift feels like a personal hug. I work with professional-grade White Nights watercolors on 300gsm acid-free paper, so these pieces are meant to last. When we start on a portrait, I look at your reference photo to understand the bond you share, then I bring it to life with layers of pigment rather than just drawing lines.
For the greeting cards, I handle them with the same care. Each A6 card is hand-lettered using calligraphy, and I package them in eco-friendly boxes that look beautiful right out of the mail. If you need a card for an anniversary, a birthday, or just to say thank you to someone you care about, these are made to be kept, not thrown away. I love incorporating floral elements like wild roses and marigolds into these designs, which are a signature part of my work. Please keep in mind that since I create every single card and portrait from scratch, I need a little lead time to get the colors and composition exactly right for you.
